Dr. Joshua Rosenthal is a Diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He holds the position of Clinical Professor at Huntington Hospital and Assistant Clinical professor at Stony Brook University Medical Center.
Having trained at Stony Brook Medical Center, Dr. Rosenthal honed his skills with a nationally renowned endocrine surgeon and has presented cutting edge research on minimally invasive parathyroidectomy at a prior national meeting of the American Head and Neck Society. He is dedicated to thyroid and parathyroid surgery and has contributed multiple publications in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Rosenthal is one of the few surgeons performing "true" minimally invasive parathyroidectomy under local anesthesia and sedation in the New York area. He has specialized training in advanced treatment of thyroid cancer including central neck dissection. Additionally, he is certifed by the American College of Surgeons to perform Head and Neck Ultrasound and performs ultrasound-guided fine needle biopsy of thyroid, parathyroid, neck lymph nodes and masses in the office on an outpatient basis. Accomplished in both traditional sinus surgery and minimally invasive sinus surgery known as Balloon Sinuplasty, Dr. Rosenthal also works with neurosurgeons to help perform minimally invasive removal of skull base tumors through the nose.
